Hunton Conrad Hawaiian Architecture Projects
Here are a few highlights of Hunton Conrad's Architecture and Design Projects.
Tucker House
The Tucker House, a flight of imagination on the slopes of Haleakala, was created to capture panoramic views and a sense of privacy amidst an expansive, lush tropical garden, waterfalls and pools. The many curved and parapet walls were made possible by the use of special construction technology imported from Europe.
Oma'opio Ridge
The overall goal of the Omaopio Ridge project is to develop a small community of homes on spacious lots with spectacular vistas and protective covenants that encourage owners’ autonomy while safeguarding their views and investments. Each home Hunton Conrad has designed within the gated portion of Omaopio Ridge is uniquely configured to take maximal advantage of bi-coastal views and the topography of the land. Moreover, each is distinctive in its architectural appearance and features.
Hotel Hana Maui Hotel
For Hotel Hana Maui's recent renovation, Hunton Conrad incorporated the colors of the local landsape throughout the property. The results of Hunton's unique design are luxurious, gentle and very Hawaiian.
Waterfall House
Waterfall House combines contemporary design with the finest in natural materials. A two-story atrium with cascading orchid waterfall, brazilian ironwood floors and oheo wood posts are just some of the details incorporated in the interior. A large infinity pool reflects the magnifcant views of both ocean and the surrounding hills.
Additional Architectural and Design Projects
- Partners Guest House - Designed for Hana Ranch (a project of the Getty Trust.) A plantation style ranch house set on a bluff overloooking the Pacific Ocean.
- Jerry Moss (A&M Records) House - Designed architectural remodel of Maui beach cottage.
- Coconut Plaza Hotel in Waikiki - Developed and supervised design of Site Plan, Architectural Plans, Interiors, and Landscaping.
- Marszal Residence – Architecture, Interior, and Landscaping design for this large oceanfront home in Lahaina Town, with an emphasis on reflecting the historical significance of the location.
- Lieberberg Garden – designing a casual, natural, Mediterranean-style five-acre garden on the slopes of Maui’s Mt. Hale'akala.
- Historic Bailey House Museum Gardens, Wailuku Maui - Designed and supervised the installation of gardens; Awarded Honorable Mention for design two consecutive years by Wailuku Main Street Association.
