The Maui Civil Defense Agency oversees the civil defense programs for the County including natural disasters, such as hurricanes and tsunamis. Their website has very helpful Emergency Preparedness information.

Animal Quarantine Branch - Department of Agriculture

Hawaii is rabies-free. Hawaii's quarantine law is designed to protect residents and pets from potentially serious health problems associated with the introduction and spread of rabies. All dogs and cats, regardless of age (puppies and kittens included) or purpose, must comply with Hawaii’s dog and cat import requirements.  Most dogs and cats will have to fulfill the 120 mandatory stay, but those meeting specific pre- and post-arrival requirements may qualify for 5-day–or-less quarantine program.

Maui Humane Society

The Maui Humane Society is committed to building lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach and the prevention of cruelty. It is highly regarded on Maui and a great place to go if you are considering adopting a dog, cat, rabbit or other animals.

Originally opened in 1884 as "Malulani" (Protection of Heaven) by Queen Kapiolani, Maui Memorial Medical Center is now overseen by the State of Hawaii.  MMMC employs more than 1000 employees and has 200 attending physicians with total bed count of 231.

To establish water service for your property, you must be the property owner. When you call please have your tax map key and lot number ready. Also, they will need to know the name of your subdivision - if it is an approved subdivision.
