Each year Maui property owners make an investment in the County when they pay their real property taxes. Every dollar is returned in the form of services including police and fire protection, street maintenance and recreational facilities and activities.
To establish a water service for your property you must be the property owner. When you call please have your tax map key and lot number available. Also, they will need to know the name of your subdivision if it is an approved subdivision.

Wastewater Division Sewer bills are processed every two months with your water bill by the Department of Water Supply.
Television service on Maui is now available by cable or satellite service.
Most people who are moving to Maui will want to ship their personal household goods as well as their automobile. For those moving to Maui from the Mainland the leading provider of this service is Matson Navigation. For those moving from one of the other Hawaiian Islands, Young Brothers, Limited provides inter-island service.

Hawaii is rabies-free. The Hawaii governement animal quarantine law is designed to protect residents and pets from potentially serious health problems associated with the introduction and spread of rabies. All dogs and cats, regardless of age (puppies and kittens included) or purpose, must comply with Hawaii’s dog and cat import requirements. Most dogs and cats will have to fulfill the 120 mandatory stay, but those meeting specific pre- and post-arrival requirements may qualify for 5-day–or-less quarantine program.
